Sayid disappoints...

If you haven't already gathered, I'm an obsessive Lost fan.  I love the characters because you can always count on them to do whatever you expect.  Kate will always be very caring.  Jack will always try and save anyone no matter what (until today's episode).  Ben will always be manipulative.  Hurley will always be hungry.  And Sayid will always be a badass... until tonight's episode.

We're used to seeing Sayid break necks with his feet, torturer people, and be Ben's personal assassin.

But tonight Sayid gets the perfect chance to kill young Ben once and for all and he fails?!  He definitely disappointed me.

Facebook + Lost = Lost Gifts App

Yesterday while avoiding homework at all costs, I entered the Facebook application development world.  Since I love sending and receiving things on Facebook (ie: bumper stickers and gifts), I decided I would make a gifts app.  My inspiration was the television show, Lost.


After the Harry Potter book series came to an end I needed something to fill the void that was left in my life--and that is where Lost came in.  My friends and I would sit around and theorize about HP and now we spend our free time analyzing Lost.  To say that I am obsessed with Lost would be an understatement.

The Lost Gifts application includes nearly every character and a few odd surprises.  Currently there are 59 gifts and for every one gift you send another one gets unlocked.  The more I think about Lost the more ridiculous gifts I think about adding so I'm sure that the number of gifts will drastically increase over the next few days.

So if you're a Lost nerd like me, add this app.

Discovery Channel

After Thursday's Make A Wish Foundation's Gala (I'll talk about that tomorrow or something when I have time to give it the time it deserves) I either came down with food poisoning from eating sandwiches that were left out all day or the flu. Either way, I took the weekend and stayed in my room to re-cooperate.
 
As part of my "stay in bed-ness" today, I watched a lot of Discovery Channel. My favorite was Global Warming with Tom Brokaw. He makes documentaries more interesting, if you ask me. And it seems like he has a lot of odd interests. Then tonight I've been watching Planet Earth. The episode I'm watching tonight is all about trees and the animals that live in all kinds of forests. Interestinggggggggg.

Anyway, I just needed to fill everyone in on how incredibly nerdy I'm being.  Kayla is making fun of me because when she came home the first thing I said to her was, "I'm watching Planet Earth.  Tonight's episode is about trees.  Conifers are amazing."
