Beard Central: The Beard is Back
I find a lot of random things on the internet to distract me when I have important things to be doing (like finishing a take-home exam or packing to move). Right now I am extremely distracted by the Wings and their beard fascination. It seems to me that this year the Detroit Red Wings are going more beard crazy than they normally do during playoffs. The Wings have an entire website dedicated to their magnificent playoff beards.
Beard Central is where you can get your hockey beard fix. It has links to Beard-A-Thon (a fundraiser for the Red Wings Foundation), beard FAQs, celebrity beard of the day, beards of history, hockey & beards, Build-A-Beard and a lot more crazy beardedness.
Some of my favorite finds:

- Try telling her about the Red Wings Beard-A-Thon. Instead of growing her own, she can pledge money towards her favorite player with the proceeds going to the Red Wings Foundation. Not only will she remain clean shaven, but she’ll also be supporting a good cause
- Kris Draper's beard is compared to Chuck Norris'.
- I have always loved Kris Draper but I don't think he looks like Chuck Norris one bit!
Seriously this website is out of control. But I love the Red Wings and their beards. And I'm thinking tonight's game is going to be a good one... I think I smell a sweep?!
